The Short Version
PadelScorePro ("we", "us", "the app") provides padel match scoring and tracking across web, iOS, and Apple Watch. This policy explains what information we collect, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We have written it to be plain and honest rather than dense.
You can use PadelScorePro without an account as a scorer. In that mode, nothing is saved and no data is sent to us.
If you create an account, we store your email address and your match data in the cloud so your history syncs across your devices.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your data with advertisers.
You can delete your match history, or your entire account, from within the app at any time.
Without an Account
By default, PadelScorePro does not require an account. When you score a match without signing in, the scorer works fully — you can score the match from start to finish.
Nothing is saved.No data is sent to us, and nothing is written to your device's local storage or your browser's storage. When you finish the match or leave the screen, the score is discarded.
To save your matches, view your history, and sync across your devices, create an account.
Creating an Account
Creating an account is optional and unlocks cloud sync — your matches follow you across your devices. When you create an account:
What we collect:Your email address, which serves as your account identity. We use a passwordless sign-in: you receive a one-time 8-digit code by email to verify it's you. We do not create, store, or have access to any password. Your match data — the scores, dates, and match settings you record or sync. (Matches are recorded against generic team labels such as "Team A" / "Team B" and do not, in this version, contain other people's names.) Optional profile information you choose to add, such as a display name and a self-selected padel rating (between 1.0 and 7.0).
What we do NOT collect:No passwords. No location data — we don't collect or store your location. (Like all websites and apps, our servers briefly process your IP address to deliver the service; we don't use it to identify or track you.) No health or fitness biometrics through the account. (Note: the Apple Watch app can, with your separate permission, record a workout to Apple Health on your own device — that data stays in Apple Health and is governed by Apple's privacy terms, not sent to us.) No advertising identifiers, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Account data (your email and synced matches) is stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, on servers located in the European Union (Ireland — eu-west-1). Supabase processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.
Authentication (verifying your email via the one-time code) is handled by Supabase's authentication system. The one-time codes are sent by email through Resend, our transactional email provider, which also processes them within the European Union (Ireland).
Why We Collect It
We collect and store your email and match data only to provide the app's features — to let you sign in and to sync your match history across your devices. Our legal basis under UK and EU data protection law is the performance of our contract with you: this processing is necessary to deliver the service you signed up for. If you no longer want us to process your data, you can delete your account at any time.
Your Choices & Rights
Use without an account — store nothing and share nothing with us.
Delete your match history — available in-app on the History screen, on both web and iOS. This removes your saved matches.
Delete your entire account — available in-app. This permanently removes your account, your email, your profile, and your synced matches from our systems. This cannot be undone.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your data. You can exercise these by emailing info@padelscorepro.com, or in most cases directly through the in-app controls above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our systems immediately. We do not currently keep separate backup copies of the database, so deletion is complete at the time you request it.
Third-Party Links & Affiliate Disclosure
Some pages on our website link to third-party sites — for example, gear recommendations that link to Amazon. Some of these are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. When you follow a link to a third-party site, this policy no longer applies — their own privacy policy governs any data they collect. We don't pass any of your personal data to these sites; clicking a link is the same as visiting them directly.
Children
PadelScorePro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age (or under the higher age of digital consent where local law sets one). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at info@padelscorepro.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this policy and revise the "Effective date" above. Significant changes affecting account holders will be communicated by in-app notice and by email.
